In the double-bill of episodes of Emmerdale that air on Thursday 12 September, Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) has finally figured out that her lover Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) is a dangerous man…
Things fall into place for Debbie when she reviews the full recording that poor Gennie Walker made on her Dictaphone as she hid upstairs in Debbie’s house.
As fans will recall, hearing Cameron confess to Debbie that he murdered Carl King prompted a terrified Gennie to flee, but on realising that she’d heard every word, he and Debbie pursued her as she drove at high speed out of the village.
And of course, that resulted in Gennie’s car careening off the road and crashing into a lonely gully…
But while Debbie frantically called for help, Cameron – fearing Gennie would tell the police what she knew – smothered her.
Until his heinous crimes are uncovered, everyone believes that Gennie died as a result of the crash, but when Debbie takes proof of Cameron’s confession to her aunt – who is of course Cameron’s former fiancé – Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) they realise with horror the full extent of what they’re dealing with!
But before that, poor Chas has to come to terms with the fact that Debbie has known for weeks now that she – Chas – didn’t kill Carl, and that leads her to wonder just how many of Cameron’s dark secrets her niece has in common with him.
Here’s a look at this gripping episode…
